Exclusive motorcycle tours in small groups
Namibia offers incredible off-road adventure and endless opportunities to experience the vast expanses of the Namib Desert.
Accompany me on my wonderful motorcycle and 4X4 tours. With the motorcycle either on easily accessible gravel roads or on the challenging off-road adventure tours. A grandiose wilderness, endless expanses, an exotic animal world and extraordinary flora, which have adapted to the dry environment over the centuries, await us. We discover, to name just a few highlights, the last wilderness Kaokoland, the Etosha Pan, the Fish River Canyon and the Namib Desert.
In an intact animal and plant world that can hardly be found in any other country in Africa, far from any civilization, we will have to obey the rules of the game of nature. An indescribable feeling of freedom and adventure!
At the end of an exciting day we will spend cozy evenings around the campfire with traditional braaivleis (grilled meat) or potjiekos (tripod pot), occasionally with local friends. A good opportunity to learn a lot about the country and people as well as the varied history of Namibia in a relaxed atmosphere. Of course, passengers are always welcome, in the agile 4×4 vehicle to accompany the group.
I look forward to experiencing a Namibian adventure together with you.
With Kind Regards

Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions about the tours
‘Yes-ja’ welcome to Namibia Namibia is a barren, harsh country, otherworldly, yet so inviting and almost familiar and easy to travel around. Namibia is a photographer’s dreamland, a land of contrasts and clear colours. It is a country that many people have fallen in love with. If you are looking for peace and nature, if you enjoy grandiose landscapes, desert and vastness, you will not let go of Namibia, which is one of the most sparsely populated countries on earth. Namibia is Africa at its best, with friendly, simple people, endless savannah and bushland, and exceptionally diverse wildlife, protected in the vast Etosha National Park and many other wildlife sanctuaries. Namibia is an adventure, and yet you don’t have to be an adventurer to experience this country. Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Liechtenstein, Sweden, Spain, Denmark, Finland, France, Netherlands, Norway. Guests from these countries can therefore enter without a visa for tourist purposes. The “Visitors Entry Permit” is issued upon arrival at all official border crossings. Countries in Europe that require a visa for Namibia: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. Guests from these countries should contact the Namibian consulate in their country as soon as possible.
Most visitors enter Namibian soil at Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako International Airport. The course is around 45 kilometers from the city, as Windhoek is located in a narrow valley. The entry formalities for Namibia and South Africa are uncomplicated for visitors from EU countries, Switzerland and England – for a stay of up to 3 months. The visa is issued upon arrival and stamped in the passport. The passport is only expected to be valid for at least 6 months. Important! A residential address must be given on the entry form! Please simply state “Hotel Palmquell”, we stay here on the first and mostly on the last day. The national currency is the Namibian dollar (NAD), in South Africa the rand (ZAR). The rand is also recognized 1:1 in Namibia, but not the Namibian dollar in South Africa. In Windhoek and larger towns you can pay by credit card. Not always possible in the Namibian hinterland. For gas, personal expenses and some meals you should bring between 280,- 320,- Euro in cash. It’s best to exchange them right at the airport. A valid driver’s license is required, an international driver’s license is not mandatory. Other documents: Travel sickness/repatriation insurance Copies of the most important documents
No hard-shell cases, please They are difficult to stow away in the escort vehicle. It’s OK for the flight, but please repack everything in a pannier in Windhoek.
Clothing
Be careful with excess baggage! Since most tours take place in midsummer, ‘motocross clothes’ are recommended. But you shouldn’t throw yourself into the expense either, normal motorcycle clothing with protectors is also sufficient for all tours.I definitely recommend Enduro boots, if possible no street rider boots! Optimum motocross clothing consists of: Cross helmet, goggles, scarf, elbow protectors, motocross shirt and pants, knee protectors, good boots and gloves. Enduro jacket or breastplate. Other clothing: Not much is needed, and there is always a way to wash quickly. Due to the high dryness and temperatures, the robe is dry again in 20 minutes. Jeans- T- long-sleeved shirts- sturdy shoes- slippers- shorts and swimming trunks!- towel- fleece jacket and windbreaker
Personal
Daypack for photo/video and water bottles. A drinking system (camel pack) is practical but not necessary. We make enough breaks (photo stop etc.) where you can use the drinking bottle. Lots of sun – i.e. sunscreen, sun hat/cap, sunglasses, personal medication, flashlight, photo/video, small binoculars We provide everything for the camping tours, but if you prefer to bring your own sleeping bag, please bring it with you
